If you’ve spent time around a casino in a poker room or spent much time browsing online poker lobbies, it can feel like finding a table of aggressive maniacs firing tons of money into the pot is your best poker table to sit at.
But, as Phil says in this high stakes strategy clip, you are going to be placed in a ton of tough spots at a table full of maniacs.
If you can find a table full of passive players who are limping and calling a lot you can minimize the amount of tough spots you are placed in while maximizing your EV.
The cool thing is that whether it’s a loose passive poker table or a tight passive table it doesn’t really matter, passive players are just easier to play against when compared against the alternative aggressive poker players.
